Sweden’s Kings of Rock were just teenagers in a Stockholm suburb listening to the likes of Thin Lizzy, Led Zeppelin, and Deep Purple, when they decided to form a band called ‘Force’. They recorded their first demos when they were 16 and 17 years old and endured record companies saying their ‘guitars were too loud and their hair was too long’. They changed their name to ‘Europe’ and entered and won a rock band competition with a first prize of a record contract. With their third album ‘The Final Countdown’ the band entered Hall of Fame territory – peaking at number 1 in 25 countries and going Triple Platinum in the USA. ‘Europe’ have sold over 25 million records worldwide.
