Formed in 1981 in Texas Pantera are regarded as one of the most successful and influential bands in heavy metal history, selling over 40 million records and being Grammy nominated four times. Sadly while performing live on stage in Columbus, Ohio in September 2008, Dimebag was shot and killed by a deranged ‘fan’.
