When Pat was 12, he saw Jimi Hendrix perform in Ottawa and decided playing the guitar would be the best way to spend one’s life. In his early 20’s he moved to the epicentre of the rock scene – England – and formed the Pat Travers Band. The band promoted themselves by touring relentlessly and were even main support for fellow Canadians Rush. He then helped Rainbow try to break America by agreeing to co-headline their US tour. In a career spanning 45 years Travers has released 38 albums. Pat was called ‘guitar god’ by Paul Gilbert and is cited by Kirk Hammett of Metallica as his favourite guitar player.
