Tosh was one of the core members of The Wailers along with Bunny Waller and Bob Marley, after which he established himself as a successful solo artist. He was a fierce anti-apartheid campaigner and received a Grammy award for best Reggae performance for his last record – ‘No Nuclear War’. Tosh was shot and killed during a home invasion in his home in Jamaica in 1987
