Steven Tyler backstage at RFK Stadium, Washington DC, USA.
This image taken by the legendary rock photographer Fin Costello captures an exhausted Tyler trying to cool down and recover after performing at Robert F Kennedy Stadium on May 30th, 1976.
Costello was born in Ireland and moved to London when he was 19. Photography was a hobby while he made a living as a sailmaker, but all this changed when he was asked to photograph some up and coming bands at London’s Roundhouse theatre. His eye for what made a shot caught the attention of the music industry and Costello would go on to be an official photographer for Ozzy Osbourne, Thin Lizzy, Deep Purple, Kiss, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones, The Police, and Duran Duran.
The print is of archival quality and is framed and mounted behind glass.
