Hailing from Redford, Michigan, Theodore Anthony Nugent first came to prominence as the lead guitarist of The Amboy Dukes in the mid 1960’s playing psychedelic rock. In 1975 he went solo and found success throughout the 70’s with the multiple platinum albums ‘Ted Nugent’, ‘Free for All’, and ‘Catch Scratch Fever’. In the 80’s he joined supergroup Damn Yankees releasing an album of the same name that went double platinum thanks to the power ballad ‘High Enough’. Nugent is a controversial and outspoken figure on the right of American politics, advocating strongly for gun rights and hunting rights. He is a passionate supporter of Donald Trump.
